Wild Places, Safe Spaces
A Nature Based Play Therapy Training Course for those seeking to incorporate nature and nature spaces into their play therapy work.
Course Overview
This online course is delivered through a rich blend of theory and practice, balancing personal and professional growth.
You will learn how to integrate nature and nature spaces (e.g. woodlands, beaches, gardens, school fields) and forest bathing practices within child-led play therapy models.
We will explore how to bring nature indoors and take clients outdoors, considering risks, barriers, ethics and safety.
In addition, you will be invited to develop your own relationship with nature through regular self-guided forest bathing inspired practices.
This course is endorsed by Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (cpcab) and represents 11 CPD points.
Structure
The course consists of four two-hour online training sessions set to take place fortnightly followed by two 90-minute online small group creative supervision sessions.
You will also be invited to complete homework aimed to support your professional and personal development.
